Amy Marie is the third of four children. Her father is a Pastor so she had a lot of musical influence in her life growing up going to Church, and listening to the choir. She loved listening to the choir. Even though none of her siblings sing or play an instrument, music has always been a big part of her life.

Remembering about that first piano, Amy Marie says "It was a shiny, black, almost new Steinway piano that sat in my mom and dad's living room. It was an amazingly generous gift from the Kalbhen family in gratitude for what my pastor-father had done for their father Walter Kalbhen before he died and left the piano behind. That piano was a fascinating instrument to the little girls who lived in a house in Niles, Illinois in the mid 1970's. While my little sister was gnawing some of the paint off the piano bench, I, being older, was more interested in the sounds that the keys could make. I started playing that piano when I was six years old. Though born with a significant hearing loss in each ear, I apparently had some God-given talent from the very beginning. I remember a time when I resented taking piano lessons, but somewhere between my teenage years and adulthood, music became an absolutely essential part of my life...Incidentally, that black Steinway piano graces my living room today. It was a gift to my parents, then a gift to me, and now, hopefully, it will give peace and joy to you. "

Amy's vision is to inspire others through her music, and to develop a support system for single parents. Parents who with God's help, and help from others can overcome all the obstacles that life puts before them. As she notes, "I too have been a single mother and understand the difficulty of trying to juggle the schedules of work, school and all that comes with raising kids."

Amy Marie plays piano locally in the New London, WI area for worship, weddings and other venues where piano music is appropriate.
