The Barich Brothers are a Slovenian polka band from Ely, Minnesota. The band consists of an accordion player (Bernie Barich), a bass guitar player (Johnny Barich), and a banjo player (the late George Barich). Several drummers have also accompanied the band including Bernie's youngest son, Jim. However, Jerry Fink, also of Ely, is the drummer for The Barich Brothers most of the time.

"Music has always been a part of the Barich family, especially in the Slovenian tradition. Our Mother loved to sing, and she taught us the language and many of the songs that reminded her of her birthplace and early years in Krka. This interest developed into the three of us playing and singing together; and to our sisters, who with their husbands perform in their group, 'The Zivios'."

"Over the years we continued to enjoy the Slovenian songs and consider the slovenian heritage something to be treasured. To forget the old songs, customs and language would truly be a loss.

We present this project to our families and to our friends with the hope that they will enjoy our music and that the selections will bring back memories of the good times we have had and of the pleasure dervied from singing and playing the 'old Slovenian songs'."
