Formed in 1989, Fyder and Everhart - singer-songwriters Ted Fyder and Glen Everhart, perform a special kind of contemporary acoustic folk music as heartwarming as it is fun. These native Minnesotans write songs that feature the natural world and family topics, in styles ranging from folk to country to rock. In concert, their tight vocal and instrumental arrangements on guitars, harmonica, and mandolin, transport listeners to many of their favorite places and through a wide range of emotions. Combining upbeat, rhythm guitar based tunes with contemplative and touching ballads, Fyder and Everhart provide a memorable musical experience for listeners of all ages.

Their first recording, Northern Minnesota, is out of print and Uncle Don's Guitar, is available in limited quantities. Prompted by many requests for CD versions of material from their first recording, they released a compilation of Minnesota outdoors music entitled Goin' Up North in 1998. This is their most cohesive and well recorded project to date, and contains most of the material that has gotten them airplay on radio and television stations all over Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The songs "Goin' Up North" and "Opening Weekend" have received extensive play on commercial radio stations in the region, and their music is regularly featured on Minnesota Public Radio as well as independent community stations such as KAXE in Grand Rapids, MN, WTIP in Grand Marais, MN, and WELY in Ely, MN. Northern Minnesota residents may be familiar with them from their regular rotation on the Backroads program from Bemidji Public television station KAWE/KAWB. They have also performed on TV stations KARE and KSTP, in the Twin Cities and WDIO in Duluth, and radio stations KFAN and WCCO in Minneapolis.
