Bradley
Joseph. The name is new to some, but the work of Joseph, and extraordinary
keyboardist, composer and performer, is well known as the sound behind such
celebrities as Yanni and Sheena Easton. On his own at last, Bradley Joseph
now stands poised to make his mark in the music world!
The first three selections of Hear the Masses stand out. Bradley invited Grammy award-winning violinist, Charlie Bisharat, to play on his first selection, "Rose Colored Glasses". Bisharat is also featured on John Tesh's Live at Red Rocks, and is a veteran of numerous blockbuster movie soundtracks as well having worked with Kitaro and the group Shadowfax. It's Bisharat's virtuostic violin that immediately attracts the listener's attention in the opening of "Rose Colored Glasses". An upbeat song that has driving, forward momentum - this piece is technically delightful. The second composition, "The Gift", begins as a slow, dour march with vocal "expressions" by Bradley Joseph and Jeanette Clinger, (formerly of the group Hiroshima on Epic Records). But the tune quickly develops into a buoyant piano solo by Bradley, who displays that he truly has a gift. The champ of the opening trifecta is "Friday's Child", which is a dynamic blend of piano and sax. Here, Bradley Joseph creates an unforgettable theme and compliments each line with stunning instrumentation. Bradley's compositions demand top notch players. He incorporates other high caliber musicians on Hear The Masses, including world class drummer, Charlie Adams, and Rick Fierabracci on fretless bass, both veteran Yanni players.
