Singer, songwriter, and guitar player Kristi Morris originally comes from Kentucky. She has been playing the guitar since she was 12 and writing her own songs since she was 18. Other band member, her husband Jeff Kellogg, of Walker, Minnesota has been a part of several local bands and has been playing drums for over 20 years. The best part about Jeff and Kristi is that he enabled Morris to do something she always wanted to do - make a living out of writing and singing for the world. Jeff was the bridge between Kristi and the world.

Kristi's music is best described as "country-mountain-Americana-roots-folk rock". She says that she is a country singer with mountain influence, a country mountain fusion. Whew, can't we just call it New Country, 'cause that's what it is. She gets her inspiration from her life's stories. Like her addiction to alcohol from age 13 to 20. She called it a social lubricant because everything seemed right with it. But there was an emptiness in her when the alcohol stopped working and now she's 16 years sober and says that she is influenced by sobriety. The song "Help You Hold On" is from one alcoholic to another.

Kristi Morris learned her lessons of life and has incorporated them into her songs. Her absence from Kentucky has made her write better. Her original music has a folk sound with a slight hint of country. Every now and then the rock comes out as well. With a unique voice singing her original songs, and Jeff on the Djembe, they have a sound all their own. The band seems to leave an impression wherever they go. And now, aftre three self-released CDs, she has her first CD for Spiritwood Music, Shade Tree Pickin'.
