Cherish
Oberg is a pianist/singer/songwriter of Contemporary Christian music
in Ely, Minnesota. She released her first CD titled Cherish The Glory in August
of 2002. Her style ranges from more aggressive lyrics and strong chords to angelic
music that makes the spirit soar. Cherish Oberg began playing the piano at the
age of 12 and wrote her first song when she was 18. Since then she has written
many songs and continues to expand her style of singing and playing.
What makes Cherish's style unique is her spontaneity; meaning, she will write songs "at the moment" while performing. Two of the songs on her debut CD are called "Spontaneous Song 1 & 2" because that's what they are - spontaneous songs that were not previously written or rehearsed.
