Minneapolis-based
singer/songwriter Jack Weston has been entertaining audiences
throughout the Upper Midwest region of the United States for nearly ten years.
His performances in clubs, colleges and small concert venues have won him thousands
of fans of all ages and musical tastes. With the release of his debut CD Only
Dreams, Jack Weston has reached far beyond his regional
boundaries and is capturing an audience not only nationwide, but worldwide.
In May of 1998, over 500 radio stations across the United States featured the song "Her Daddy's Resting Place" during the Memorial Day Weekend holiday. The song, written by Jack, is the touching story of a young woman making a Memorial Day visit to the cemetery where her father was laid to rest. Not only was the song well received by radio station program directors hungry for a new sound and musical energy listener response to the song was phenomenal! In 1999, "Her Daddy's Resting Place" received even greater radio air play and earned itself a place as a traditional "must play" during the weeks leading up to and through the Memorial Day Weekend holiday.
The success of "Her Daddy's Resting Place" has introduced thousands of new listeners across the country to Jack Weston and his music. A rare breed of singer/songwriter, Jack has the ability to combine the storytelling skill of Jimmy Buffett with the extraordinary melodies of Vince Gill.
