The original Sageman Goddess w/Shell Inlay Djembe is precision lathe cut from one piece of solid mahogany. Sageman's world-class carvers then create the beautiful goddess carving with stunning shell inlay work. This unique Djembe is a favorite with both men and women drummers looking for the finest musician quality instrument and breathtaking design work. All Sageman drums start with a handpicked piece of solid mahogany. The shell is precision lathe cut and then hand carved. Traditionally skinned, this drum creates an old world sound that is natural, warm and full-bodied, a sound that synthetic heads can't produce. You won't find another drum design like this anywhere in the world. Please allow for variations in carving style and rope color as all Sageman Djembes are made by hand and vary slightly from one drum to the next.
