quadruple concerto: A concerto for four solo instruments WITH an accompanying ensemble.

quadruple fugue: A fugue with four subjects.

Quarter note: A note played for one quarter of the duration of a whole note.

Quintal Harmony: Harmony based on the interval of a fifth, rather than thirds.

quintet: 1. A group containing five solo musicians. 2.
